Question:

Do your friends ever make fun of you for picking up trash that other people left?

Answer:
I know that sometimes it seems pretty silly to pick up after other people that you may or may not know.
It's wrong that they left their trash there, but it's not hard to do some simple good deed, to just pick it up, and toss it into a trash can as you pass by.
Sometimes my friends laugh at me, or give me weird looks. But even if they do that, they still find a few pieces of trash to pick up and carry to a trash.
It just passes on. One simple fruit snakes wrapper turns into a whole sack, or a group of friends litter.
It's simple, and easy. Never be embarrassed to pick up trash up. It's worth it.

Never ever be afraid of what people may say about you, as long as you are comfortable with who you are, and know that your doing your best in being the best person, and example for others, than others opinions shouldn't matter.
Love yourself, and love others.

Question:

How far can I go without people calling me names because of what I wear?

Answer:

I wouldn't push it.
Before I leave the house in the morning. I honestly look in a full body mirror and think:
"If my Daddy was taking me to school, would he approve of my outfit?"
If I don't think that he would. I change.
I have so much respect for my Father so that's the main reason how I figure out what my limits are.
For girls, if you look at another female wearing a short skirt and a low top, what do you think?
Do you think that she looks like an "angel" or a "slut"?
What would you like people saying about you?
If your going to walk around in skinny jeans, people will see your curves really well.
Skinny jeans show everything. Do you want everyone seeing everything?
We have "Private Parts". Those parts should only be seen by us.
So don't pull your top as low as possible so that other can see cleavage.
Don't wear your pants really low boys or other will see things.
Don't wear belly shirts.
Dress to the weather. Dress the way you want to come across.
Be beautiful on the inside and out.
Fashion is only in our mind.
Don't spend $80 on a pair of jeans just because they're designer and everyone else has them.
Dress how you feel comfortable.
Be careful.

Quote of the day:
"If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude."
-Maya Angelou

Word of the day:
Change.
to make the form, nature, content, future course, etc., of (something) different from what it is or from what it would be if left alone

Thought:
Change is not always easy for a group, nor is it easy for a single sole, change is much easier for those who unite together, and change with one another.

Question:

I too go to _____ High School. I love seeing you around but I couldn't help but ask... Sometimes I pass by and hear part of your conversation with friends and I wonder by the things you say if your racist. Are you?

Answer:

Thank you so much for bringing this up. I am NOT racist.
My Father is Hispanic, and my Mother is Caucasian. Having a background in both races has been such a great experience for me growing up.
I strongly believe that everyone, despite the way ones skin color may be, the way their hair shines, or the way they talk, we are all equals.
Thus, everyone should be treated equally.  Please please PLEASE be kind to one another.
I very lovingly ask for that.
I treat people better than I would like to be treated.
Serve others, do something nice for someone that may not be as noticed as others.
Just because they look or sound different doesn't mean you can't be their best friend.

Word of the day:
United;
agreed; in harmony.

formed or produced by the uniting of things or persons

Thought:
In America we have the title " The United States". But how united are we really? We have hate, we have racism, we have rejection. I believe one day we will save ourselves, and live up to our title as The UNITED States of America. I'm not just saying that. I will act on it.

Question:
I am really angry with my parents I feel like I hate them so much! I was wondering if you had any suggestions on what I should do. So?

Answer:

This is something that everyone goes through. For the teenage years and sometimes even through the rest of your life.
To start off with, don't do anything you will regret.
Sometimes when I do something that my Parents don't like or approve of and I get in trouble,
I want to do something that would make them so mad, to let them know how upset I am.
I've thought about just leaving home, going and getting things pierced that I know they would not like, etc etc.
No, I have never actually gone through with any of those.
It's not right. And it's something that I know if I did they would not approve, it would only cause more problems and more drama.
What I enjoy to do when my parents "bother" me are just my basic hobbies.
Weather it is writing, running, photography, or singing. I find something to take my mind off of the situation, but only for a little bit.
I think that ignoring it completely is a problem, everything should be solved or worked out.
Just be patient.
Realize both sides of the argument.
Don't yell. Don't argue. Try to be as calm as possible.
You'll make it through.
Love your parents, realize everything they have done for you.
Good luck.

Word of the day:
Trust;
Confidence expectation of things; hope.

Quote of the day:
"Trust yourself, you know more than you think you do."
Benjamin Spock

Thought:
To get where you need to go in life requires more trust and faith in yourself, than in others. You are the one that makes the most important decisions in your life. You must trust yourself before you trust others. If you can't trust yourself, change. Make it so that you are someone you can trust, and who others can trust as well.

Question:

Where do you stand on gays and lesbians/proposition 8? Are you for or against them?

Answer:

I am going to do my best to answer this in a way where it won't offend anyone.
I apologize now, if it does offend you.
I was raised in a home where my parents taught 'a man and women should be married to each other.'
Although I did grow up in that environment, as I entered into Middle School I soon had some friends who were either Bisexual, or Homosexual.
One friend in particular, I had attended Elementary school with.
Although it came as a shock, I still chose to accept him. I have never seen him in a negative way.
I personally fall for the opposite gender only, it is just what I am attracted to.
If by chance, you have chosen to fall for someone of your same gender, I have nothing against you.
Whatever you choose, make sure it comes after a lot of thought, and straight from the heart, not from others opinions.
I still have various friends who have chosen to be Bi or Homosexual and I accept them for who they want to be.
Just because they are my friends, does not mean that I will change my opinion about who I want to be in a relationship with.
I believe that there are two different genders for a reason.
We have males and females, if we were supposed to be homosexuals there would only be one gender, thus not giving you a choice.
I have chosen to be with a Male, so that I can have the chance to have children with my husband some day.
Children are the greatest joy.

Quote of the day:
"We are all inclined to judge ourselves by our ideals; others by their acts."

Thought:
It is human nature to judge others by looks etc. Judging others gets the best out of all of us. When you look at someone, no matter who it is, always look for a good quality in them. There is a soft spot in everyone.

Question:

How do you get out of a situation you know you should not be in?

Answer:

There are plenty of different ways people back out of things they would rather not be involved in. For me there are two ways that I have adapted to backing out.
1. Suggest doing something else.
2. Be courageous.
Sound cheesy? I'll explain.
1. A lot of times friends want to get involved in doing activities that your parents/guardians have suggest you don't do. Just because they are friends, does not make it okay. That goes along with the famous quote "if your friends jumped off a cliff would you?" For me, about 99% of the time the answer is no. If they ask you to do something you have been taught you should not do, then suggest finding something else. Something that would be fun for everyone, but safe, and always use your brain.
2. If your friends choose to ignore your suggestions, or are just too caught up to listen then you need to stand up for yourself. If you know better, and that you should not be doing what they want to do, then don't do it. If it means loosing those friends, sometimes that is what is best. I have had a really hard time with this. I love being with my friends. I always feel so down when I have to walk away from some just to save myself from the mistakes they are making. I always try to encourage them not do certain things, but if they refuse to listen or follow me then my only option is to protect myself. You can always find other friends who will listen to you, and agree with you on most things. Be brave!

Some activities I have suggested to friends in order to get out of bad situations have been...
1. Mini golfing
2. Arcades
3.  Frisbee golf
4. Playing sports at a park
5. Shopping
6. Good movies
7. Laser tag
8. Playing board or card games
9. Go out to eat
10. Do something kind for someone
